The following projects are being realized by the Company: | | | Contracts for delivery of new modern ships have been signed according the programme of renewal of bulk carriers, which was accepted by Board of Directors in 2004. These bulk carriers correspond to modern security and efficient exploitation standards. Their deadweight is 23700 class RS KM (STAR) LU4 [i] A2 BULK CARRIER BC-A (ESP). | Contracts for purchase and modernization of SUEZMAX type tankers have been signed to diversify the activity and to increase economic stability of the company. Murmansk Shipping Company has acquired single-hulled tankers SUEZMAX "Nataly" and "Nadezhda". To meet the requirements of International Convention MARPOL 73/78 tanker "Nataly" was modernized in 2006. She was equipped with double bottom and double sides in the cargo tank area. Cargo capacity has not been changed. The second tanker of this class, "Nadezhda", was modernized in February 2008. | | | | Murmansk Shipping Company is carrying out modernization of "M. Strekalovskiy" type ships to increase competitiveness and improve economic and field-performance data. The purpose of modernization is to increase cargo capacity of bulk carriers. | In 2003-07 Murmansk Shipping Company modernized seven ships of "Dmitriy Pozharskiy" type. |
