Modernization of "Dmitriy Pozharskiy" type ships

In 2003-07 Murmansk Ship­ping Com­pa­ny mo­der­nized se­ven ships of "Dmitriy Pozharskiy" ty­pe. Mo­der­ni­za­ti­on in­cluded:

Installation of the additional hold

 

Improvement of the propeller group

Hull renewal

After modernization the following characteristics of the ships have been improved:

  • Economic data
  • Navigability
  • Maneuvering performance

The bulk carriers were re­cognized by so­me large Euro­pean char­ters and consignees af­ter their hulls ha­ve been re­newed up to 2SS le­vel. Be­sides, Rus­si­an Ma­ri­ti­me Re­gis­ter of Ship­ping has is­sued cer­ti­fi­cates of con­formi­ty with the pro­ce­du­re of mo­der­ni­za­ti­on.
